The Baxter Project, Inc intends to inspire the American people by infusing the history of America with the spirit of her potential.

We present a unique perspective that brings balance to an important Origin Story of this nation through education, media and research, with the intention of inspiring America to its highest and best self. We are a Massachusetts-based nonprofit organization that was formed to realize the vision of James Phinney Baxter, philanthropist and historian, to honor the principles and ideals of the Founders of New England, at the same time recognizing the important contribution of Native American values and understandings in the formation of the American character.

We inspire, encourage, heal, uplift, enrich, and bring an uncommon perspective, beyond politics and race, to the understanding of our underlying human birthright: FREEDOM! Why are we not free? One reason, we propose, is that we are mired in mis-belief, stemming from misinformation, mis-education and mis-interpretation regarding verifiable historical facts. The Baxter Project intends to set the record straight. There is an uplifting story waiting to be told.

The Baxter Project serves current and future US immigrants, international scholars and students, and all Americans. By illuminating the original ideals and principles of the visionary founders, both settler and native, of this country, by propagating the historical truth of the inspiring aspects of our history, we can elevate the national consciousness, which will ultimately affect every person on the planet.

We challenge and inspire America to realize the promise contained in the freedom documents of our founding vision.

Vision

Where do we see ourselves in five years? We are a thriving nonprofit organization with a leading historical Internet resource (www.TheNewEnglandPantheon.org) and strategic partners including notable educational institutions, historical societies, researchers and other authorities. We have also produced a series of historically accurate books, DVDs and other publications providing information and inspiration to schools, individuals and communities across the country and around the world.

We are effective proponents of a unique, uplifting, non-political vision of America’s destiny, which is helping to heal what we consider to be a malaise undermining our culture.

The Baxter Project, Inc. is a Massachusetts non-profit corporation, a program of the International Humanities Center, a nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code.
